Wind gusts up to 65 mph, rain, rain RAIN – Such was the fun leading up to today’s chores getting ready for the trip. Fortunately the littlest Pablo couldn’t be bothered and Q Street Diner had power and pancakes.

I’m getting better at editing, but the subject matter is depressing. $800-$900 to repair a 2000 Saab exhaust system. It seems the car should be able to  make the trip so I think I’ll go for it. If I have to, looking at cars in Texas versus Maine may be in my future. Toyota Carollas are on my list – economical, dependable (with the new & improved floor mats) and Toyota should be open to negotiations about now…

This post is not about an exercise of a mechanical nature, but one of a technological, iMovie-editing nature. Here’s my first video blog post after 5 hours, 4 Valentine chocolates and a subscription to Lynda.com. Other than being exhausted and near blind, I had a GREAT time! Seriously; it’s was a real creative learning experience.

Regarding the car, here’s the beginning. Stay tuned for the….rrrrrest of the story tomorrow.

I heard someone say that Maine is one of the few places where you didn’t have to shine your shoes or clean your car for 6 months of the year. Yep. That’s the place for me! But, now that I’m about to take off on my big road trip south in 9 days, it’s time to clean the last 4 months out of my car. That process, I’ll call the BIG Dig, started this morning.
